Thread: Lab g 10000q one input 4 outputs

I took the plunge and bought the real deal, some refurbished factory pre-owned units which was still very pricey for me. Anyways it convinced me after hearing the clones they were very, very good so I thought I would get the real thing for all the reasons stated in the forum. Anyway plan an to run one amp on 4 sb1000z, so I was hooking that up until I got to inputting the amp... One,two,three,four inputs, no parallel switch, ugh okay... Off to the manual and it says a crossover should be capable of driving 4 inputs, so does this mean I need to make a female to male to male to male to male jumper? Kind of a stupid way to go about this, did lab g not think someone is going to want to use one input and 4 of the same outputs... Let me know I'm on the right track before I blow something up please.... Thanks

Hi Shane,

If you're talking about the PLM 10000Q, then no splitter cables needed. You can do a 1 to 4 in many ways. Try loading a 4Aux module, or 2 x 2Aux modules. For the latter, go to the IOConfig page and select "Input 1" for each of the 2Aux modules. Everything's internally configurable. :-)

If you're talking about the FP 10000Q, then I think you may need some cables.

Sorry. Yes, most decent crossovers can drive at least 4 inputs, and usually much more. E.g. the Lake DLP has a 50 ohm output impedance. (I use an old test unit as a headphone amp.)

What crossover/processor are you using? If it has many outputs, it might be simpler to wire 4 outputs to the 4 inputs and set the processor to the same signal on each output.

I'm using a ux8800 and it's driving kf730 and sb1000z. So 6 ch are being used... I guess I could check ux spec to see if it will stand driving these inputs...

UX8800 has no problems driving 4 inputs on a FP10000q. But you'll need some sort of female to 4xmale cable or a little patch panel.
