We made a bunch of upgrades tonight. The most important one that you'll see on the front end is our upgrade to vBulletin 4.2. Here's some information on that from it's creators that is relevant to the SFN community:
vBulletin 4.2 is a major feature release that delivers user requested functionality to both the vBulletin 4 Suite & Forum products. vBulletin 4.2 contains only feature changes and issue fixes related to those feature changes.

Since switching over to Linode from Dreamhost, this is the first time we've had any downtime that was caused by our host.
All we know at this point is that there was (and still is) a network connectivity issue in our datacenter. While the problem isn't fully resolved, network connectivity is slowly stabilizing and our host is still working on a full resolution.
