First of all please excuse me if I'm asking a dumb question, I'm not well educated on the subject.
I have a night club and I own the following system, bought brand new in 2008:
Funktion-One R4S x4
Funktion-One F218 x4
Funktion-One RM15 monitors
E45 amp x2
E25 amp x2
QSC amp 2x700W, not sure about model
During the past 9 years the system was connected like this:
E45 feeding all 4xF218
E45 feeding bottom part of F4S - 12 inch, 300W, 8 ohm
E25 feeding top part of F4S - 8 inch, 200W, 16 ohm AND 1 inch, 50W, 16 ohm
E25 feeding both monitors
However I had problems with whichever E45 is feeding the F218 - burned transistors and power supply, protection kicking in, etc.
So I took a decision to change the setup without spending any more money and I had this idea:
Two E45 feeding 2xF218 each, instead of one E45 feeding all 4xF218
One E25 feedind the top part of F4S - stays the same
One E25 feedind the 12 inch of the R4S - 4x300W total
QSC feeding monitors
Could you tell me if this sounds OK to you? Another option is to buy another E45 to keep feeding the 4x12 inch, but I really would prefer not to spend any more money on this system, as it's already old anyway.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
