When was the last time you saw a local festival stage packed-out first thing on saturday morning?
- I've always appreciated the slow and easy start!
At least it's not raining and cold there!

Never. I'll always feel for the performers stuck in those time slots, though.

There is usually a reason they are early in the lineup.

However i have worked with some great bands-that were just beginning and did not have a reputation. And then I have worked with some that just formed yesterday-or so it appeared by the performance-----------------------------

Back when I was in the production business, I had a regular gig that was 3 days of a BBQ cookoff. The whole time we were there the smell was everywhere 9and in the gear and the truck for days afterwards .

One of the better gigs. Most of the bands were great-and the food was exceptional.

Smoking is tough to get right.

Pfftt...Maybe for you east coast yankees...But for those of us who grew up smoking meats it as natural as breathing, and sometimes easier.
