[Well all the people on Tour get to show off all their gear, why not us house sound guys? I co run the sound with the other guy Mike, here at our venue we are running 2 Turbosound Floodlights and 4 Turbosound TSW721 subs per side. Our monitors are 8th Day 15''+ Horn biamped, 4 mixes from FOH. FOH is being powered by old BSS 760s and our monitors by some Macrotech36x12. Our FOH is a Midas Verona 480, Klark Teknik DN3600 EQs, and some crappy comps and gates by Behringer. They are the worst link in the system

. Split snake yadda yadda you get the idea. Anyways here are some pics! Sometimes Im lucky to get a Profile in on the larger shows when I do monitors (last pic).

Hopefully in the next month the stairs on SL will be taken out and the PA will get up in the air. Not a bad little rig though.

Re: House Sound Gear

My 700 cap house gig when I'm home has a flown Nexo Alpha system(4 boxes per side), with 6 S12's run cardioid under the stage, 2 PS10's flown for FF, a boat load of PS15's for wedges, an M7CL-48 out front and an LS9-32 for mons. I've spent the past month tuning the system up and getting it the best sounding it's ever been.

I'll have to find some better pictures...

A couple from my photo collection:

A very well done Adamson Spektrix rig at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo, BC:

A mess of Mackie at the Varsity in Minneapolis (the room itself is a really cool place to do a show, but they really need to put in a real PA):

The super huge MILO rig at the Warfield in SF:

Re: House Sound Gear

The system sounds better than ever. Putting the subs in cardioid (under the stage!!!) helped immensely! Thanks for your help, Evan! Now, if I could only rid myself of this head cold and clear my ears...

Crack the Sky is not yet scheduled - seems as though there are some personnel issues with them at this time...
