Shop Technician
TC Furlong Inc. is expanding and looking for a hard-working, mature, and dependable technician to work in our busy shop and rental office. This is a full-time position with benefits. Typical duties include:
Shop Operations: preparation and return of rental orders; testing and maintenance of equipment; loading/unloading trucks; extensive time spent driving company vehicles on deliveries; shipping, receiving, and general warehousing; building maintenance; occasional system set-up and other crew calls.
Client Services: serve as a member of our rental team with extensive client interaction and communications; assist clients with design solutions; project management and logistics; oversee used equipment sales and marketing; train clients in use of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have: experience and interest with sound reinforcement equipment; extremely high level of attention to detail; outstanding communication skills; excellent work record demonstrating dependability, flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to learn; ability to work variable hours including evenings and weekends; valid Illinois Driver's License with excellent driving record; non-smoker; strength, agility, and stamina to work with heavy equipment; live within 20 miles of our shop.
