It keeps showing a message " load fault" on the laptop. I looked in the manual and it shows about 2o messages but not that one.It passes audio and sounds fine. Any thoughts?

Dear Randy,
The "load fault" warning would indicate the amp is not seeing expected or safe impedance on the output, could you give me a little more information on the setup so I can try and pinpoint exactly what is causing it?
What module presets and speakers are you using? Does the module feature loadsmart verification?
Are you driving several speakers in parallel? If driving under 2 Ohms then this "load fault" would be expected.
The warning may also indicate that there is a faulty driver somewhere, could be worth checking the DC resistance of each driver to see if you have any anomalies.

Alexander, thank you for replying. I bought the amp used and asked a friend to come over and help set it up. I want to run the amp with 4 separate channels. We hooked it up to a 12" 2 way passive monitor with an 8ohm load with a 12" speaker, bullet drive and crossover.All are JBL components. I have np problem sunning it on a QSC PLX amp. We tried it on each channel. Like I said everything sounded good except we got that message.
The PLM amplifiers will indicate a "load fault" on any channels that are receiving input, but have nothing connected to an output. Could it be that you have nothing connected to the outputs indicating load fault? The lake controller software will simply show a load fault on the module, even if some of the outputs have no fault. If you look on the amplifier display, it will indicate which channels are seeing a load fault in the metering section.
We have presets for a triamped configuration that are outputs 1,2,3,4 as sub, sub, mid, hi, respectively. If we are using only one subwoofer, the module will indicate a load fault in Lake Controller because the second sub channel has no connection. It can be annoying constantly seeing the fault indicator during a show. The front panel shows the fault only on the second sub channel. No harm, no foul.

Bob, maybe that was it. We had one output hooked up at a time. We didn't have loads on the other 3.

Inputting audio to a module with no output connected would indeed kick out the "load fault" warning, please engage the module mutes or remove the input when a channel is not being used to avoid having the error message.
