Well, as I posted in the other thread, I have another pair of EV SX250 cabs on the way, bringing me to two pair. I am currently powering the existing pair with a Peavey IPR1600 one per side. I would like to procure a more suitable amp with DSP to drive the SX250s. In my usage, the amp would have 2 x SX250s per side (4ohm load). Priority would be to have plenty of clean volume and low risk of speaker damage versus absolutely stupid volumes (think live jazz and music playback with subs as needed but often without). Next priority would be light weight, followed by budget (would like to stay < $600).
So, what power amps would you suggest I consider?
