Real name or user name?

The re-reg screen asks for your real name, but then rejects it and says you entered an invalid user name.

I'm having trouble reproducing the issue. I just created a user called "Test User" without a problem. What did you enter for "Real Name"?

When I first reregistered, I had to enter my user name, which at the time was jcbigler, and then change the real name field in my profile and then use my real name to log in after that point.

My bad. I am used to my user name and real name being different. I entered "Mac Kerr" which is not my real name on this forum.

Sorry, Mac, there's no good way to implement aliases in vB. We looked into it but we would have had to create a skanky hack and then update it with every new version of vB, and even then it might not have worked everywhere.

This method is slightly annoying since your login may potentially be longer than usual, but it works natively and everywhere.
