On Sunday, February 12th, nine-time Grammy Award-winner Rihanna took centerstage during halftime at Super Bowl LVII, which pitted the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles. Or, more precisely, she took off, riding a gravity-defying platform flown from the rigging of Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium, in a production that was as stunning as her eye-popping red outfit. It was a performance that rivaled the game itself: 13 minutes featuring the best of her big hits, including “Umbrella,” “Work,” “Diamonds,” and “Run This Town,” and a cast of an estimated 100 dancers, many of whom were also suspended in the air.
