This older clip has become a bit of a classic online. It depicts British soldiers in Iraq performing a very well coreographed musical-style routine to the song "Armadillo".

I came across another similar video today that has been made by US soldiers in Afghanistan, it too, is really well made.
My favourite part is at 01.59.

I didn't even catch on to that, but thought it strange that a town would be named after the animal, so I figured the animal was named after the town.

Oh well, entertained and educated in one thread, not bad!

To be fair, the people who put the video on YouTube also misspelled it. still a fun video.

The good news is that there are armadillos in Amarillo!

Good news? (dillos known to carry leprosy).

In some parts of the country (like TX) they have a quaint pastime of propping up dead dillos on the side of the road with a bandana around their neck. I am disappointed I couldn't find a picture to post..

It was an interesting read on Wiki about the 9 banded (common) armadillo, and why they ended up with leprosy..Seems they caught it from the New World explorers in the 1500's. And in South America they do eat the bigger ones..
