These are looking pretty interesting. The IQ model has some pretty nice looking DSP features and bluetooth for cocktail hour stuff etc.. Anyone looking to give either of these models a shot?
Not sure I am in the market today but probably one more season with my current powered stuff (JBL PRX).

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

iQ series was recently pulled off the Price List and the iP/iX are not listed.

iQ = doesn't have Blue Tooth, but is a BUDGET speaker with PowerCon
iP = Column system with Bluetooth and iPad/iPhone control.
iX = Trap box with Bluetooth and iPad/iPhone control.

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

Thomann are quoting the following prices:
iQ

15 €869
12 €773
10 €675
8 €628

SUBS

18B €1,083
15B €966

Their expected 'next in stock' date is 03/04/2015

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

When I talked to Behringer at NAMM, the iP stuff had prices, but wasn't shipping until mid-year.

IMHO, the iP columns potentially can be good satellite speakers at events, where tripods look a bit too ugly. You're not really pushing things too much in those situations, so even if the sound quality is so-so, it still serves is purpose. I don't care much about bluetooth, because its a short-range thing, so its not very useful for much in our realm. But I guess it lets you set your iPod on top without any wires. I wish they'd instead made it a real medium-to-long range wireless setup, like the Sennheiser LSP 500. That would be really useful.

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

Dealer price lists.

In all fairness, my latest price list doesn't include Flex so sometimes a call to the Rep is in order.

I have lost my patience and waiting for the with the iQ line to come out.

Back at NAMM2013 it was announced as a Behringer Line.
For NAMM2014 it was re-launched as TurboSound...
At NAMM2015, TurboSound wouldn't give any indications of a Release Date.

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

I think I was leaning towards the IX series. Guess I jumped the gun on asking too much about them. Saw them listed as pre order on sweetwater I think. I would prefer they take their time releasing them. Work out any issues. Will bump this when they hit the market.

Just as an FYI... Sweetwater pretty much Pre-Sales everything. The iQ series has been listed for 2+ years on their site.

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

To be fair to Sweetwater, its a reasonable expectation to think that if a manufacturer publishes a product in their price sheet that its going to ship really soon. Announcement of products long before they're ready to ship isn't new at all. But putting them on the price/order sheet when they're not even in production is pretty new.

+1. Behringer goes more than a little over the line with their vaporware practices. NAMM usually means "Not Available, Maybe May", but in the case of Behringer, that is more like "Not Available, Might Materialize [eventually]". For once I'm actually interested in a Behringer product (X-Touch/X-Touch Compact), however as it's now 14 months since introduction with no date yet, I will likely continue my perfect record of "no Beheringer".

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

Dear all,

The iQ speakers are currently in transit to Starin and will be in stock very soon. We apologize that the development took longer than anticipated, due to the immense complexity involved. They now “speak” perfectly with all ULTRANET driven products such as the M32 and X32 consoles.

We are a very long time Turbo user. The new stuff from Uli has yet impress me. We own 4 of the Sennheiser LSP 500s. That is one well thought out and implemented small scale portable system.
Bad assesd. It does fail to meet what seems to be Turbo's new main design criteria - inexpensive.

im curious about the iq18 subs... they dropped the map price to $750 , seems to good to be true, really looking forward to hearing a set.

If they're at least good as a pair of kw181 or prx718xlf I'll snag them for small gigs. . .

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

I really do not understand Turbosound specs (like everyone else's!) The max SPL figures on the IQ series seem quite low - for instance in comparison to the Milan series - though they are also giving v high peak/max watts output!

What is also strange is that on the turbosound site - for example the iQ15 spec says max spl is 125db - but in the spec synopsis on say Thomann ( & I presume they got their data from turbosound) it says SPL 121db

Mind you with all the supposed modelling and the dsp features including some sort of feed back control - I await a review of these with great interest

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

Ordered a set of the iq12s and a iq15b. Build quality is really good. Everything seems sturdy and well put together. The tops are on the heavy side. Initially it seemed as though the tops were lacking in low frequency response, but once the woofers broke in, they sounded much fuller. Haven't had much time to compare them to other speakers I have in the same class, but would definitely say they are worth the money. The sub is fairly well built as well, and lighter than I was expecting, especially compared to the weight of the tops. Used the sub for a 200 person event Friday and it managed fairly well. On Saturday I got to use the sub as a part of my monitor setup and was thoroughly impressed. At a local club I usually provide monitors for touring DJs if on their rider. Normally I provide two Mach 15" subs, and the one iq15b felt like it matched the volume of both Machs.

Are they the best speakers I've heard? No. But for the price they're damn hard to beat.

Re: Turbosound IQ/IX series

Just wondering if any members have anymore experience of the subwoofers yet? I'm looking at a pair of IQ18Bs which are great value on paper, but thin on real world reviews right now. I've seen a few brief site reviews on sweetwater but nothing too detailed. Current portable subs are a pair of Yorkville NX720s, so any side by side comparisons of them would be great, or someone with experience of both at least.
