Greetings all SFNers,

The new server configuration and hardware does increase the cost basis for SFN, but we think the increased costs are very much worth the benefits. The community continues to be very generous in their donations, and we want to continue to be clear and transparent as to where your money is going.

To that end, we have composed a blog post that details, in mostly plain English, what we have done to improve performance on here at SFN. The new server setup represents nothing less than a fundamental restructuring of our computer architecture into something is faster and able to grow with the community. We ask that you take a few minutes to read the blog post below:

Your donations keep the community running and have kept the site from having to make an ill-conceived jump into serving advertising. We thank you for your ongoing support, and value your input about the future directions for soundforums.net and the community of professionals that make it run.

Sincerely,

-The Moderator Volunteers: Bennett and David
