Hello experts!
I’m dying to start re-habbin these awesome Westlake TM-1 monitors
...but I want to do it right and not ruin them!
I’m not sure of the extent I should go to.
Maybe wrap them in a cool veneer?
Patch and paint?
Tolex?

What should I do to make them the Most Badass ?

Rebuild the cabinets. Seriously. That looks like some hack woodworking using crap ply and a horrible patch job. Getting a local CNC shop to cut new cabinets out of 13-ply baltic birch shouldn't cost much more than the time/effort/caulk/putty it would take to make sure those are even sealed and structurally sound, and then you'll have furniture-grade, stain ready cabinets.
