Doodson Broking Group Acquire CSI Entertainment Insurance

The partnership will create the world’s largest insurance broker for music and special events, with coverage placed by the combined entity extending to over 10,000 concerts, 600 music festivals and 300 touring artists.

Established initially in the UK as Arthur Doodson Brokers Ltd in 1964, Doodson Broking Group has earned an enviable reputation for service and achieved extensive growth through its global base of clients, making it one of the leading independent specialist insurance brokers in the live music and event industries. Founded in 2001 by its chief executive James Chippendale, CSI Entertainment Insurance, which will be integrated into Doodson Insurance Brokerage (the US arm of Doodson Broking Group), has provided specialized coverage for many of the most prestigious events in the United States, including Barack Obama’s Inauguration in Washington DC and Victory Party in Chicago, leading music festivals Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, as well as large-scale concerts featuring Gwen Stefani, R.E.M., Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Strait, and Coldplay, to name a few. The firm has also provided specialized risk management for some of the world’s top athletes including Lance Armstrong and the Radio Shack Cycling Team.
