Only Good Feedback for Flashline

FOLLOWING A SERIES OF DEMONSTRATIONS and trial events over the latter part of 2011, we are pleased to announce that FeedBack Show Systems & Service GmbH has become the first to purchase a Turbosound Flashline large scale line array sound system. Here CEO Bernd Schmitz explains his reasons for breaking new ground with Turbosound’s innovative new loudspeaker technology.

FeedBack Show Systems & Service GmbH supplies audio, light, and video and rigging services across a wide range of sound reinforcement activities from live touring to corporate events in the thriving European market. The company has been a Turbosound user for many years, with its first purchase of 24 Flex Array cabinets taking place in 2008. “I was attracted to the brand in the first instance by Flex Array’s acoustical performance,” says Schmitz. “Especially the natural and clear midrange, which was and still is outstanding. After a shoot-out we ordered our first Turbosound Flex Array system because of its outstanding natural sound.

“The following tour was a complete success, and from then until now we did a lot of shows from musicals to rock ‘n’ roll with a continually growing Turbosound inventory. We do around 800 shows a year – nearly every one of them with Turbosound products – and the results are always outstanding.” In fact Schmitz liked Flex Array so much that he continued to grow his speaker systems, and now is the proud owner of no less than 112 TFA-600 Flex Array high packs and an equal number of subwoofers.

“I’d had a lot of discussions with the technical guys at Turbosound and we talked at length about what a large sound system should do or not do,” he says. “This was really my first involvement with Flashline, and I was very pleased to continue to input into its ongoing development. I´m still impressed by how well they have solved all the little challenges that we talked about initially.”

FeedBack’s latest investment in Flashline came about as a direct consequence of listening to the system and realising that Turbosound had raised the bar once again, according to Schmitz. “My decision to purchase the system actually happened before we had any gigs for it – that tells you how much confidence we had in Turbosound! We are happy that we found a manufacturer who builds speaker systems which are able to reproduce any kind of music at such a high level of acoustical performance,” he confirms. “For us it´s good to know that our opinions are heard – we can communicate more like partners than a conventional customer/manufacturer relationship. And I’m more than happy with Turbosound’s distribution in Germany right now – they are doing a good job and we’re really looking forward to seeing the new products coming out this year.”

FeedBack‘s success has come about because of the company’s ability to consistently deliver the outstanding results that its clients expect. “We are no dry hire company with only simple riders to fulfill,” emphasises Schmitz. “Our clients measure us, and ultimately book us, on the level of performance we deliver, and this has always been the leading thought in the way we do business. As a result we always have to take a closer look to new technologies, and the right PA system is an essential ingredient for having perfect results.”

Schmitz describes Flashline’s essential sound character as very clear and natural but never stressful to mix on. “Flashline sounds like it loves to play music!” he says.

Flashline has been well received by FeedBack’s clients. “Those who have already listened to it were very impressed. We are really looking forward to the many interesting shows we’ll be doing with our Turbosound inventory. Here’s to Flashline’s success!”

Not sure that I would want to use the word "feedback" in my sound company's name, but it's obviously not hurting them. The Flashline looks great.
