Brea, CA – April 2012… Altinex, a leading manufacturer of Signal Management Solutions®, is pleased to announce the availability of the TNP512 Interconnect Box, the latest addition to the ever-expanding line of Tilt ‘N Plug interconnect offerings. As a compact interconnect solution designed for installation into tables, podiums, or other furniture as part of an AV presentation system, the new TNP512 offers convenient, one touch access to a variety of video, audio, computer, network, and power connections—making the tabletop connection point attractive for any boardroom or conference room table. Of particular note, the new TNP512 employs a new leaf-spring mechanism—replacing the gas spring design of previous models.
As an easy-to-use tabletop connection device, the Altinex TNP512 is a sharp looking, highly functional tool for facilitating power, Internet/Network access, plus audio and video connections for one’s laptop computer while attending a meeting in the company boardroom or presentation space. The standard TNP512 incorporates the SP3500SC sectional plate that provides two standard U.S. power receptacles, computer video (15-pin HD), a COM Port/RS-232 (9-pin D), video (RCA), S-Video (4-pin mini DIN), audio (2-RCA’s), computer audio (3.5 mm), modem (RJ-11), and network (RJ-45) input connectors. All connectors have 6-foot (2 m) cables attached that feed through to the bottom of the unit.
With the Altinex TNP512, the company introduces an entirely new leaf-spring mechanism that replaces the gas spring design used in previous TNP interconnect boxes. Using the new Altinex TNP510 interconnect box frame as the system’s foundation, the advantages of the new leaf-spring mechanism include a long service life, smooth operation, a magnetic latch, and easy installation.
The TNP512’s input plate is accessed by pushing down on the top cover. The unit then auto-tilts open with assistance from the new leaf-spring mechanism. Once open, the input plate remains securely in place. The input plate is hidden, or closed, by pressing down on the top cover until the latching mechanism engages. In its closed position, the top panel lies flush with the table’s top, held in place by the latching mechanism. This secure fit also means less chance for paperwork to catch the TNP512’s edges when being passed across a table—so documents remain clean and professional in appearance.
In addition to the standard configuration mentioned previously, the Altinex TNP512 Interconnect Box is highly customizable. The Altinex TNP510 interconnect box frame provides slots for 6 single-slot sectional plates that can be configured with various multimedia and power inputs. Many sectional plates are available for the TNP510 and may be ordered separately. Additional information about the numerous custom snap-in assemblies that are available can be found at http://www.altinex.com/index.php?s=products&lo=connectivity&c=snapin_assy.
Grant Cossey, Altinex Vice President of Sales, commented on the company’s TNP512 Interconnect Box, “The TNP512 Tilt ‘N Plug interconnect box is the ideal boardroom choice for creating a quick and convenient means of patching equipment into a company’s data network or presentation system. With its ability to be customized in so many ways, the TNP512 offers tremendous flexibility for configuring a presentation space exactly to one’s preferences. In addition to the standard matte black finish, this interconnect system is also available in brushed aluminum as well as the new black and white mirror finishes from our recently introduced Reflection Series. With quick, easy access to a variety of connections combined with its elegant design; the TNP512 creates a high-tech visual aesthetic that compliments the décor of any boardroom or presentation space.”
The Altinex TNP512 Tilt ‘N Plug Interconnect Box is available now with a MSRP price of $875. The TNP512C denotes a custom build (connector configuration / finish), with additional charges and time required for completion. Pricing for the TNP512C varies from $975 – $1,370, depending upon configuration and finish.
