To build on the growing demand for Constellation® acoustic systems, Meyer Sound has bolstered its team with the appointment of Mac Johnson to Constellation Program Manager and Melody Parker to Associate Acoustic Engineer.

“Since the launch of Constellation, the system has revolutionized the acoustics in live performance venues. Our customers are adapting the system’s capabilities for new applications like meeting rooms, recording studios, classrooms, and restaurants,” says Antonio Zacarias, vice president of worldwide sales for Meyer Sound. “With Mac and Melody’s wealth of experience, we’re ready to help customers from all areas find the best solutions for their acoustic needs.”

As Constellation program manager, Johnson drives all aspects of the company’s Constellation efforts, from lead development to design, sales, and commissioning of systems. Johnson has been an integral part of Meyer Sound’s Constellation team since 2011, when he transferred from the company’s education program. Prior to joining Meyer Sound, Johnson was managing partner of a sound rental company in Charleston, S.C. He has extensive experience as a production manager, sound designer, and FOH engineer.

As associate acoustic engineer, Parker provides project support for Constellation and Libra™ acoustic image systems. Parker was formerly an acoustical consultant at Charles M. Salter Associates and a music analyst for Pandora. She has a master’s degree in architectural acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor’s degree in music from UC Berkeley.

Including the new additions, Constellation is backed by a team of experts such as Grammy-winning recording engineer John Pellowe, and scientist Roger Schwenke, Ph.D. The group supports consultants, integrators, and venue users from specification through design, installation, and commissioning. To date, more than 60 systems have been installed around the world. Recent Constellation installation locations include Denmark’s Jyske Bank, Calgary-based energy company Enbridge, the Louisiana Digital Media Center at LSU, France’s Vendéspace, and The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.
