BUENA PARK, Calif. (November 19, 2015)—All eyes have been on the Yamaha Rivage PM10 Digital Audio Console since its U.S. launch at InfoComm. The national demos have been a driving force since early September around the country when the ‘shakedown’ began as the Company fine tunes the software and prepares for the release. This is a standard part of the Yamaha quality assurance policy to confirm the absolute reliability the Company is renowned for. The response to the console’s sound quality, layout, and workflow has been extremely positive.
In fact, Willow Creek Church was the first to use the new PM10s during their 40th anniversary event held in mid-October at the United Center in Chicago. And, in Nashville, at Grace Chapel in Franklin, TN. two PM10s were used sharing two RPio622 units to handle inputs and outputs for a concert featuring the Blues Counsel (who were helpful in allowing Yamaha to record them for the new Yamaha TF console presets), Jo Dee Messina, Al Perkins, and Dave Perkins. The PM10s recorded all channels of audio via Dante at 96kHz.
The flagship consoles are scheduled in the upcoming days and months for the next round of sound company-sponsored events. On December 1 and 2, Sound Image in Escondido, CA has scheduled the Yamaha PM10 for private demos for their audio crew and customers. Delicate Productions in conjunction with HI-Tech Audio will host its crew and clients on December 3 and 4 in Camarillo, CA. Hi-Tech will host a second date at their Hayward, CA office on December 14. “We are really excited to bring the best, stable products to market and are making great strides in having as many sound companies and engineers possible witness the power and technological advancements of the new flagship Rivage PM10, states Marc Lopez, marketing manager, Yamaha Professional Audio, commercial audio products. “The demos have been very effective and useful to us as we take this opportunity to fine tune the software for PM10. All in all, the market agrees that our new console certainly has exceeded their expectations not only with the features required to compliment their work environment, but with the warm, analog sound of our new Hybrid Mic Preamp.”
