[ATTACH=CONFIG]201298.vB5-legacyid=13925[/ATTACH]Madison, WI – Jonathan and Susan Lipp, Full Compass Systems CEO and Chairman of the Board, respectively, spoke about their contributions to the music products industry during an interview in front of 5,000 people at the 10th Annual NAMM Breakfast of Champions.
NAMM organizers invited the Lipps to be interviewed by NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond for a one-on-one conversation about the state of the industry. NAMM extended the invitation to people they consider industry game changers. The Breakfast of Champions recognizes innovators making decisions that will impact the music products industry.
During the interview, the Lipps talked about how they have successfully run one of the top music products companies in the nation by having a “passion for understanding what customers needed.” The couple explained their philanthropy involving music education, and their continual advocating for music programs, something that has brought them all the way to Washington D.C. to lobby for students’ rights to a musical education. Susan Lipp also shared a message to female leaders in the music products industry which has honored her involvement numerous times in the more than 30 years she has been in the business.
Among those interviewed at NAMM’s 10th Annual Breakfast of Champions were Singer-songwriter Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills & Nash; ukulele legend Jake Shimabukuro; President of Hal Leonard Larry Morton; musician Anne Clark, also known by her stage name St. Vincent; and the new CEO of Fender Andy Mooney.
