[ATTACH=JSON]207536.vB5-nodeid=207536[/ATTACH]London, UK – September 2017… At the 2017 PLASA Show, FBT Audio (UK) will bring the small but mighty, fully redesigned FBT SUBline range of compact subwoofers to the UK for the first time, establishing a new benchmark ratio in compactness versus power.
Designed and manufactured in Italy, the SUBline range of bass reflex subwoofers delivers more power from smaller, more portable enclosures, with Class D amplification, switch-mode power supplies and DSP presets for accompanying full range enclosures. Encompassing two passive and four active models, SUBline boasts road-ready, tour-grade birch plywood construction, integrated carrying handles and optional wheels, plus in/out stereo connectors facilitating the use of a single sub in left-right stereo set-ups.
Starting the range is the 12” SUBline 112SA, rated at 700W RMS and delivering 130/133dB SPL with a frequency response of 40 Hz to 140 Hz. Also rated at 700W RMS, the 15-inch SUBline 115SA boasts an SPL output of 132/135 dB with a 40 Hz to 140 Hz frequency response. Both models offer users the choice of eight presets from the onboard DSP plus multiple EQ modes with two LPF crossover settings and a cardioid configuration.
The larger 18-inch SUBline 118SA is rated at 1,200W RMS, producing 134/137 dB SPL within a frequency response of 33 Hz to 100 Hz. Six DSP presets are available with four EQ settings, two LPF crossovers and six step digital delay up to 3.5m. The largest of the active models is the 218SA double 18-inch, rated at 1,200W RMS, producing 140 dB peak SPL within 30 Hz to 120 Hz.
For applications requiring low-end support without integral amplification, SUBline offers the 1,200W 118S and 218S, both of which are calibrated for optimum performance with FBT’s acclaimed DLM26 Digital Loudspeaker Management processor. The 18-inch 118S produces 133/136 dB SPL, as compared to the 139/143 dB SPL delivered by the double 18-inch 218S. All of the subwoofers include integrated M20 top mount speaker sockets.
