Amsterdam, Netherlands (September 10, 2024) —At this year’s IBC Show in Amsterdam, Rycote is very pleased to debut three new additions to its acclaimed, industry-leading Stereo Cyclone kits: the Stereo MS Cyclone Kit 18 (XLR,) the Stereo MS Cyclone Kit 17 (MZL,) and the Stereo DMS Cyclone Kit 5 (MZL,) all of which are optimised for the new Sennheiser MKH 8030 with MKH 8040 and MKH 8050 microphone combinations.
The newest trio of Rycote Stereo Cyclone kits designed for the new Sennheiser MKH 8030, MKH8040 and MKH 8050 each feature a compact Z-lock basket design with 3D-Tex® material and dedicated mic connections to offer remarkable acoustic transparency and supreme wind suppression (up to -50dB) The new Stereo MS Cyclone Kit 18 features XLR Mic Connections (2 XLR3F to 1 XLR5M,) while the Stereo MS Cyclone Kit 17 and Stereo MS Cyclone Kit 5 feature MZL connections (2 x MZL to 1 x XLR5M on kit 17 and 3 x MZL to 1 x XLR7M on kit 5.) The three new models, like all of Rycote’s Stereo Cyclone windshield kits, are individually and meticulously hand-built in the company’s factory in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, in the United Kingdom using a highly specialised manufacturing process which is carried-out by a highly-skilled Rycote technician.
Since the launch of Rycote’s popular flagship windshield kit – the Cyclone –customers have been asking for stereo versions. As a result of intensive and detailed product development, Rycote now offers a comprehensive range of professional Stereo Cyclone Windshield Kits, designed for popular stereo techniques, such as X/Y, Mid-Side and Double Mid-Side.
