Ah yes, I forget... here in NY a couple feet is an annoyance.

They did auto-respond to e-mail:

Thank you for contacting Shure Incorporated. Your question has been received. Expect an initial response from us by the next business day. Due to a blizzard in Chicago, Shure will be closed until at least Thursday, February 3rd.

Yes it is a bit more than the usual Winter storm for us. Chicago gets cold, windy, and nowhere near as much snow as the other side of Lake Michigan, Erie, etc.

I'm not complaining.

However, it's a true blizzard right now, winds average 40mph, gusts in places up to 60mph, whiteout conditions, the whole nine yards. Closer to the lake is slated for 20-22'' of snow from this storm. We'll see. School's closed tomorrow already for the city and metro area, O'Hare is essentially closed(that is a big issue for the rest of the country), and we're well stocked with food and beverages. ;>)

Oh, and the gas can is full for the snowblower.

Best regards,

John

It's bad. I flew in at 1:00 and this was a picture of departures from O'Hare for American - yellow means canceled.

Co-workers stuck on Lake shore drive, going literally 1 mile per hour. I made it to Evanston in about an hour, but that was in the afternoon. Passed by Shure's old building on Hartrey and it was starting to pile up. Schools, businesses, etc. closed tomorrow and they're expecting more to dump tomorrow.

Dinner is going to be either in the hotel or literally around the corner. Cold, wind is whipping something fierce.

The race shops I deal with in Indianapolis are closed, likely for the week. I've got parts stuck in Pella, IA where they only got about 7'' but the Interstate out to NE is closed with big drifts. At least I'm not stuck in it. Stay safe, keep warm...
