A great app for your Android phones

Re: A great app for your Android phones

Yeah, but what about the 90% of us that don't have Android phones? Everyone knows that anyone who has an Android phone is just a pathetic wannabe who hopes that not owning Apple products will make them unique and loved.

Android market share in the USA is a 53% now. I am sure there are at least a couple people around here other than me that have one.
I think you missed Bennett's warning label.

Re: A great app for your Android phones

Hi All,

I'm the developer of this app so just thought I would drop by (thanks for posting Ryan and for the heads up Bennett).

For those iPhone users out there, I have a web based version available at http://www.av-tools.co.uk/. It doesn't have all the features but should be better than nothing. I would love to create an iPhone app but can't justify the cost (buying a mac + $99 a year apple dev registration).

What about iphone users? You will contiune to get flashy apps that are amusing to simple minds, but don't really do anything constructive.

Did I say that last part out loud?

Dan,

About the pink and sine generators :
Can you include two more generators (pink and sine) but with one specifics : Polarity reversal one of the channels, preferably right one, so headphone(s) output can act as a 'balanced' signal source.

A wish for the future updates : Sweepable sine or more discrete frequencies.

With utmost respect

Re: A great app for your Android phones

Version 1.0.7 is now available in the android market.

Changes:
Added temperature input on wavelength and delay calculators
Reworked the tone generator now includes:
63hz Sine Wave, 125hz Sine Wave, 440hz Sine Wave, 1khz Sine Wave, 2k5hz Sine Wave, 6k3hz Sine Wave, 16khz Sine Wave, 20hz-20khz Sine Wave Sweep, Pink Noise, White Noise

Not sure what other people think about the pseudo balanced output idea, my thoughts are that the real limitation on any phone based tone gen is the phone's audio hardware, and I think an in-line DI box might be a better solution.
If everyone else agrees that this would be a useful feature I will gladly add it, but I am doing what I can to keep the app simple to use.

Re: A great app for your Android phones

I'm guessing here but I think it may take a while for AppBrain to scan the market and find my updates.
They are simply an alternative front end to the Android Marketplace, there developer tools do not offer an option for updating, or rechecking.

I can't find any information at all about this online, but hopefully things will straighten up after a few days.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I will keep an eye on it.
