Panel Mount ADAT Connection

I'm looking for a panel mount connector (pass thru) in the Neutrik D Series size or equivalent that I can use to speed up the process in connectology. The four ADAT connections are keeping me from being able to put a patch panel on the back of my expansion rack (Big Ben, Focusrite A/D-D/A, Power and Smaart interface)

I got a return phone call from Neutrik telling me that the Optocon Quad is primarily for long snake runs and not appropriate for the 10feet that I actually need it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, that looks like I am looking for...

Is this a basic pass thru device? I'm not well versed on the cabling (only that it works!) so how does the digital signal jump from one cable to the next if they are mated only by touch?

Any problems with dropouts? This is going in a shock rack that rides in a transfer trailer so it's going to get bumped around a little bit.

Rob has a great idea too. I may do that when I need more connections. It is a straight passthru, female on each side. No problems with drop outs for me, mine gets moved around a lot, in a non-shock rack. I have the fiber well secured inside the rack with ty-wraps and sticky mounting pads.

Rob- I'm seeing several items that match your description, but if you have a Tried & True piece than I would assume get that. Can you steer me in the direction of which ones you are using? I have some blanks already here at the house so this might be a good way to do it.

Well, I don't know if they are "tried and true" but I used ones like

I used them on the rear of my preamp rack when I had the ADA8000s for the 01V96.
