We often use scaffolding that's roughly 6.5' H x 7' W x 4-5' D to support our SH46's. We've just booked an Easter Sunday service event so I would like to dress the scaffold up a bit for the occasion. Any reasonably priced suggestions? Ideally the solution would be water/mold resistant and fire resistant.

Thank you,

Jeff

Re: Scaffolding masking/dress

I have been thinking about some basic curtains from commando cloth (duvetyne). I think I would put a straight seam up both sides, and add a fold over pocket at the top and bottom. I was thinking of fastening them to the scaffold with light bungee cords through the pockets at the top and bottom. I was thinking three panels to cover the front and sides.

you could probably get by with very little sewing if you would just drape the cloth over the scaffold and cut to length, and then use the weight of the speakers to hold the cloth in place.

Duvatene and velcro. Cut the duvatene to go around 3 sides, glue velcro all the way around all three sides of the scaffold, and the top of the duvatene.

You can use double sided tape if you don't want the velcro on your scaffolding permanently. However I think once you see it with the skirt you will want to use the skirt a lot.

YMMV
