I have a couple of items for sale. The first are a pair of proprietary 12+1" speaker cabinets. These started out life as a pair of Carvin TRX-122's and have had a series of small improvements made over time.
The cabinets are made from 13 ply Baltic birch plywood with threaded flying points 3 sides. There is a pole cup on the bottom to use as a speaker on stick and it has dual angle sides for use as a stage monitor. The finish is a sprayed on bedliner style. I have foam backed the grill so they have a very clean appearance and it keeps gunk out of the drivers. The cabinets are very compact and lightweight.
The drivers are the stock Carvin PS12 12" woofer which is just your basic 12" stamped frame eminence driver. The high driver is a P.Audio BMD-450. There is also a stock carvin passive crossover. I have added a recessed switch next to the input plate to switch between biamped and passive modes. They sound reasonably good passive and even better biamped. I can provide some basic EQ and crossover settings if you wish to Biamp them. I won't make claims that these will win speaker of the year, but as a basic speaker on stick for a corporate breakout application or bar band / church wedge they get the job done. These were just my basic go-to speaker for budget applications and they have paid for themselves well.
I'll take any fair offer for the pair of them. I'm working on a new speaker project so I'm just looking to offset the cost of that a little bit. Maybe $150 / box or best offer?
