Our band will be in Cleveland Sept 30 and Oct 1st playing in Fortune's Battle of the Corporate Bands (I still laugh just from saying it) at the R&R Hall of Fame/Museum.

From those that live nearby or have been through, what are some:

- good eats for the band, breakfast, lunch or dinner (we ain't picky)

- good family stuff (my wife & 2 girls will be flying out to join, so something besides the Museum would be great.

- anything else noteworthy.

Thanks in advance,
Ned

leave?

Sorry I just had to, but note I did wait 24 hours before posting something that adds nothing. Of course my family in Cleveland will never see this so it may be a little wasted.

Play nice Jay! We're not as bad as the national media likes to portray us!

As for food, if you want a deli, http://www.slymans.com/ is the place to go. But they are only open 6a-2p for dine in. There is also the 4th Street Bar and Grill, EDIT: apparently their website isn't working right. They have food and bowling if you so desire.

If you wanna catch a show there are a bunch of venues, including Peabodys (down and dirty RnR venue. Mostly metal acts), The Beachland Ballroom and Tavern (2 rooms, all kinds of acts), The Happy Dog (bar that serves specialty hot dogs and has music of all kinds).

Plus there is tons of theater in Cleveland, but I'm not sure what shows will be up at that point.

Closer to that date I could probably offer more suggestions.

Eric,

That was really a poke at some family that lives there. My great uncle charlie moved there after prohibition and started a macaroni factory. There are still a bunch of Barracato's from that branch of the family in the area.

I would definitely agree with Eric to say go see a show. We are lucky here in Cleveland to have our theater that is right behind New York's.

Recently visited NYC and saw a show and it definitely backed up what others had said about our theater and Playhouse Square here.

Take Care,
Phil

Small and outdated backstage areas that make load-in and load-out really difficult? Yeah you guys are right up there with New York. ;)
I'll be there for two weeks in April 2012 with one of those fancy New York City productions.

Cleveland does have a very active and respected regional theater scene, no arguing that.
