I was supposed to be working this in, but instead I'm stuck on the phone today doing banking.

Oh well. Pretty neat looking!

I've spend a while chatting with Phil Graham about his experience attending U2 last month. I5 is really one of the most incredible PA products available right now, Clair has some very clever guys behind all their in house product designs. Their BT-218 sub is also top of the line. Having a PA that can loaf along delivering high SPL to 400'+ is no damn joke.

I'll admit I know nothing about the PA or deployment. Had I been working it would have been pushing cases and pulling feeder. The city is fully depleted of union workers with Jazz Fest, Osheaga, corporate shows, arena shows and so forth. It's been a while since I've done it but its fun to be involved in a rare production like this regardless of the capacity. I didn't call back at first - pending other work, and by the time I did call there was only corporate conference work, which I graciously declined.

I mostly shared the photo because I hadn't actually seen much previous discussion. I've seen lots of arena stuff, but unique stadium shows are a rarity here.

Looking around some more there is actually a great wikipedia entry about the tour:

I can only imagine the sight in the parking lot outside the stadium.
120 gleaming red and chrome Peterbilt tractors.
