I am looking for some headworn mic options aside from the countryman mics. Will have to be terminated with the 1/8" screw in sennheiser connection.
Wondering what affordable decent sounding options might be available. Mainly for use in High School Theater environment. I thought someone had posted a mic option at some point a while back that was around 100$ a pop and they gave the units a decent review.

Re: Headworn options.

After asking me, our high school theater department bought a bunch of the microphone madness mics. So far they have held up well to high school use.

Re: Headworn options.

No one else finds the ear loops too soft to hold their form?
I saw them at a school (I was doing some consulting at) that had them and thought the same thing. But for the price I would like to get a couple to try out. I understand they will make them any length that you want and it only takes an additional day. The booms on the E6 seem to be too long for a lot of people I put them on. I want to try some MM mics with the boom only about 2 inches in length. The MM mics don’t have replaceable cables and that is the part that I have had occasionally needed to replace on the E6. The MM cable is thicker so that may be a plus or a minus.

Re: Headworn options.

We use the madness omnis (as well as E6 omnis) and they compare quite favorably for the money. But order them via phone and ask for extra stiff ear loops, as ours are wimpy as hell.

This is one BIG reason to go with MMadness.........customer service. You can get a real person on the phone and they'll do their utmost to accommodate you. And when they say money back, they actually mean it. Great folks, nice product, great service.
