crank up lighing stands

I am in the markit to buy some new lighting stands.

The cheapo ones that i got with the lights are starting to wear out.
I would like to up grade to somthing reliable that is in the 100 to 200 dollar price range.

As stated i would like them to be crank up because i like to concepted and so does my back.

If any one has experence with these stands that would like to share that would be great.

Re: crank up lighing stands

Although the 132 is the standard, if the budget doesn't allow them, I have also had success in clubs with the ST-90. A little less stand at a little less money.

Re: crank up lighing stands

I just switched to a new LED light system, and I bought two On Stage LS7805B stands. They offer crank up with a handle, but you can also use an electric drill to really raise/lower them quickly and easily. I used them last weekend on a gig for the first time. They worked great. These stands are very heavy duty, and can go pretty high. The tripod base can get really wide if you need extra stability/safety, but these stands are really sturdy. I got them for $150 each on ebay. Great value for the money.
