I recently ordered and received my new distro from SIX-2. They have built a few panels and "rack pac" style distros in the past for me and I wanted to give them a try on something a bit bigger.
This thing is great! The build quality is excellent. I really like the breakers they are using, more of a flush mounted rocker switch than a typical "breaker" very cool. The enclosure is heavy duty and well put together. All Camlocs and twist locks appear to be Hubble brand, labeling is clear and straight, dual intensity lights are handy and the AC metering is sweet.
I can say enough good things about this company! The Quality is great and the pricing is very competitive. But beyond that the sales staff actually listens, offers advice and returns calls and emails! My contact Curtis Craig ([email protected])is fantastic! (I dont work for and I'm not endorsed by these guys). Any potential buyers please check them out and or give them a try as I am VERY satisfied! Included are a couple of photos (*note I added the yellow #'s and printed labels)

Re: SIX-2 power distros

I notice that it is in one fully enclosed unit, as opposed to two separate panels. Were you able to specify the depth, to fit in your pre-existing rack?

Re: SIX-2 power distros

I'd like to chime in and put in a good word for Six-2. I really believe in supporting quality vendors, and these guys are top notch. I wanted a custom cross stage distro for larger stages/shows and called the other big distro manufacturer with my custom needs. They just wanted to plug me into one of their off the shelf systems that didn't really meet my needs. I called Curtis at Six-2. They custom designed and built EXACTLY what I wanted at a very competitive price. I liked their work so much I am having them build custom amp rack i/o panels for me. Highly recommended.

This thread gave me a gas attack...

...and it's all your fault Bill.

I just ordered a 3 space rackpac type distro thingy with CS in and out and 6 - 20amp breakers.

I like my MotionLabs 2 space 4 circuit rackpac but these SIX-2 folks are from Florida! Gainesville is just up the road from me so I'm glad to be able to shop local for a change.

Curious on pricing on that piece too. PM if you like.
Thanks,

Re: SIX-2 power distros

Did you specify what connector types you wanted? What was the turn around time? From time you ordered to recieving the unit.

Looks good
I did specify the type of connectors (L5-30, L1430's etc.) and where I wanted them! I was send PDF drawings to OK before they built so I could actually SEE my distro. Turn around time is usually 2 weeks + shipping I think but I needed this ASAP and they stepped up and made it happen for me ( 10days or so).

Re: SIX-2 power distros

Looking at their site, I don't see any UL listings on their products. Do you know if any stock items have been tested? I understand that custom stuff won't be.

Re: SIX-2 power distros

Turn around time is excellent - notice the gas attack post date and this post date. The product looks top shelf and I will be using it this weekend. 8)~~ (Any forumites in my area stop out and say hello - I'll be suffering for 3 days on the beach - Treasure Island)
