I'm truly sad to hear of the passing of Warren Hellman. I've worked for and around a lot of wealthy people and by a wide margin he was the most thoughtful and KIND multi millionaire I've ever encountered.

He would LISTEN to the opinion of "the sound guy" and actually give some thought to how it affected things for everyone at the event, concert or whatever.

He loved bluegrass music so much that he sponsored and paid for IN FULL a free festival every year in Golden Gate Park. It started as "Strictly" Bluegrass but has expanded it's musical scope so much that it's now called the "Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival".

I understand that he set up a trust fund that will enable the festival to continue, admission free, for many years even after he's gone.
