Battery change in DM1000?

Does anyone know how to replace a battery in a yamaha DM1000? The users manual says it should be done by a service center, and I can't find anything online as a service manual.

A band has one for monitors and just went out for a 7 day swing and lost their presets day 1.

It's not too difficult - you need to remove screws around the upper edge of the sides and back, letting the control surface pivot forward. The battery is in a clip on a board underneath the input fader area - you should be able to see it once you've opened the top.

Do you know if I have to get it from Yamaha or if it is a standard battery I can tell them to pick up locally.

I am going to call Yamaha service this afternoon but I have already spent too much time hunting around their dysfunction.al website

You've probably already got your answer, but it's a standard battery. FWIW, I'm sitting here with my LS9 open and it's a Sony CR2032 button cell - the DM1000 is likely the same.
