Maybe I am feeling ornery today, and I don't usually crosspost, but it seems the office of misinformation is back up and running:

My question is "If clipping causes the driver to stop moving, why is it still making noise?"

and I don't usually respond to both cross posts (but I will this time)... perhaps they are trying to generate some controversy and eyeballs, or just regurgitate that old poop with new byline dates automatically to look like something fresh is happening, when it really isn't.

Actually your link in the other house basically says it all. My guess is that we are seeing an edit of an edit of an edit where the author whose name is on it probably wouldn't even recognize his own words.

I was honestly looking for something to read, and my initial response was "this is it?"
