Looking to wash a large outdoor area lets say 75' wide x 75' tall. Short throw length probably 20' to 30'. Lights will be subject to rain at some point or another. Looking to keep the pricing as low as possible so considering some used High End architectural stuff but would love if there was an LED light I could use for this and other more show oriented stuff in the future. Throw some suggestions out if you have any.

Re: Outdoor Wash

I'm guessing you're trying to wash a wall with light. How and where will the lights be mounted? How much light are we talking about? R&R bright flashing lights or subtle mood-lighting or something in between?

Re: Outdoor Wash

75'x75' is a big area. How bright are you looking for? And how even? 75' beam with a 30' throw is a touch over a 100 degree beam assuming a single source. You're probably looking at multiple sources if you want color changing.

Otherwise, pick up a 250W metal halide floodlight and be done with it.

Re: Outdoor Wash

No its actually a waterfall that needs even coverage and a color fade programmed. There is multiple places to locate fixtures. I am definitely looking to use several lights. Quantity depending what fixture is used. Looks like that toughpar has only a 45deg lens so If I went that route would need a few to cover. Trying to avoid "hot spots" as much as possible.

Re: Outdoor Wash

Mohegan Sun has a waterfall about that size. They use 4 massive projectors to throw patterns and video on the waterfall. Yes, a tad bit overkill if you ask me.
The whole place is overkill.
