SC48 Offline File Creation

I was able to get an old laptop PC up and running to get the venue software on and a show built. I have been saving the file by taking snapshots with the intent to saving to a thumb drive and carrying it with me to my fly date shows next week. I'm little confused about how the File/Show tabs relate to the Snapshot tab. So far I have created a file with the artist name and a show with the venue name and all the routing specific to that show. Is the only thing that I need to do is go into MyDocs/DShow/...FileName/Show and just get the one show file?

It seems a little easy- but what I don't want to do is get to where I am going (without this brick of a laptop) and not have the right thing. Especially when I have this amount of time writing this show file!

thanks for any input.

Re: SC48 Offline File Creation

Hierarchy is Show folder > Show file > Snapshots. Note that snapshots cannot be independently recalled.

The console and / or standalone manual should show how files need to be organized so that the console will automatically find them on your thumb drive.

I don't think that I communicated what I was trying to do very well. After a few calls I realized that what I needed to do was to insert the thumb drive into the machine and do a transfer using the transfer tab under the Filing menu. It's a little different from the Yamaha world that I'm used since I'm looking at the actual software for the desk and not a version of the software (studio manager)

What a great learning experience!
