I am looking for old club/tour amps from the 70's-80's.

The ''standards''.

I don't care if they work-and do not want to pay working prices. These are for display in my office only-not to use or repair.

I have a decent collection so far-but am still looking for the likes of

BGW750

Crown PSA2

Dynaco 400

Ev/Tapco 120

Ampzilla

Hill amps

Old Crest

What do you have?

Re: Looking for old broken amplifiers

Still have a working Crown PSA 2, would like to trade for something lighter that works.

I'll throw in the Yamaha P2200 carcass, too

Re: Looking for old broken amplifiers

I have an old Crown DC 300 silver face and an old D150A series II. They are somewhat functional but still need repair to work correctly.

I might be able to find some old Clair Modded SAEs! I'd have to make a call and see if they are still in my buddies old barn!

I've already got a DC300 and 70. So I think that ''series'' is covered.

I would like an old SAE however.

See if you can find it.

Thanks

Re: Looking for old broken amplifiers

Ivan, I know Adrian has some ancient stuff kicking around the shop that he was ''working'' on, and doubt he will ever finish. I'll have him do some inventory and see what he can find.

Thanks. I am not looking for ''antique'' stuff so much-like the green altecs and such.

I am creating a large rack(s) of club tour stuff as a conversation piece for visitors. WOW, I remember having to haul that around-and so forth.

I am also looking for an old HEIL amp-not the rebranded Crown amps. But the purple ones that had all the connectors on the front and was in a wooden box.

Re: Looking for old broken amplifiers

I've already got one-and it works just fine. One of the few amps in my collection that still works fine.

Those things were built like tanks. Just look at the typical user-uneducated musicians.
