Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with the Sennheiser XS wireless series? I've heard that they might be Evolution G2 designs but manufactured more cheaply - less metal, more plastic, lower tolerances, etc.... Are they interchangeable with Evolution G2 and G3 systems?

Without specifically checking, I don't believe they are interchangeable with G2/3.

I too would like to know...

Example:
G3-B is 626-668
XS-B is 614-638

So yes, their are a few negatives, e.g. only 12 MHz of shared bandwidth, remote syncing doesn't work... but if the companding is the same and pilot tone scheme the same, it'd be nice to know you could "grab a spare" from old stock, and it's ne indicative (maybe?) of audio quality... I have always been partial to Sennheiser's RF performance.

I particularly dislike the XS's external sensitivity switch tho' :(
