I haven't done a comparison, but I do know that the ELX112P is handicapped by a design flaw: The with/without subwoofer switch (apparently) merely turns the 12" up or down 6dB. They are very useful if you switch them to "with subwoofer". The "without subwoofer" position is good for ipod demos in the shop, but that's about it.
Another design flaw is the control knobs that turn too easily and have no unity reference points or other indications on them.
However, I'm using them quite often as wedges and they are fine for that. They are also a nice dry hire piece if that's your thing.
