Hi Folks, I run a small hire company here in the UK and one of my regular client bands has been asked to play in New York City next year at a wedding. Now at the moment I don't have a more specific address, but I know there are 165 guests and it is in September. We have also been given a ball park budget, so I am looking to get some idea of what it would cost to hire what I would normally provide for a similar gig here in the UK. The band are a guitar based 5 piece, with three vocals, no keys or brass. They play a full range of covers from 60's to present day. I normally send out a 16 channel desk, full rack with effects, comps, graphics, 1.5kW - 2kW tops and subs (RCF), multi etc. I would bring over our own mics and by then, the band will be on IEM's.
With this sort of sketchy information, can any of you NYC based chaps give me an outline cost for the hire for one day, and delivery and collection. I appreciate that there are probably a lot of questions that need answering, but, as I mentioned we are really just looking to see if, by the time we take in flights, accommodation, hire costs, is it going to be possible.
