If they are the same on both the inputs and outputs, it will make absolutely no difference.

Not exactly Silas. If they don't have the output balancing option, and you're using them with unbalanced inserts (TRS type), you need the jumpers set to match your cables. It's happened a few times to me with rental units.

Guess I completely forgot about unbalanced inserts, since I have not used an analog console in a very long time!
