For RF systems, the Sennheiser G2 is still a great choice. And cheaper than ever. You can even get a G3 rig for under 1k if you shop a bit.

I use a PSM900 and love it. But they haven't hit the used market yet, and new they're north of a grand.

For in ear drivers, customs have gotten a lot cheaper. I use a triple driver model from a new company called alclair that I absolutely love. If I were you, I'd buy a G2 and take the money I saved and pick up a set of alclair customs. Worked for me....

True. I got mine for about 900 from my local Shure dealer/guy who owes me a favor or three...

I don't know where you guys shop but I'm very very small time and don't do enough "new" purchasing to have a specific "dealer." Yet with just a simple search I can get a new set of EW300IEMG3 for easily less than $900 shipped. And yes this is a reputable dealer and not a Chinese replica being sold on ebay.
