For those of you out there whose musical tastes tend towards heavier bands, one of the most important short lived bands was Quicksand, and their debut album "Slip."

From Tool, to the Deftones, to At the Drive In, to Cave In, to Chevelle, to every screamo band we trudge through on local talent night, Quicksand's influence is lurking:
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon - Quicksand: Fazer (8/22/12) - Video - NBC.com

Also kudos to Fallon's broadcast mixer, who does a pretty good job on this one.

Now we need a Failure reunion!

The warm, inviting look with a touch of "movement" provided by the audience and lighting to the sides of the band was _amazing_ as well as the music.

Loved the contrast between the "could that be the guy at the insurance agency?" look of the muso's vs. genre.

I miss Marshalls.
