Ping Fred Garret (View Profile: Fred Garrett - Sound Forums Network) about them. For years he has used 8 of them over 8 of the QRX218 subs for local, regionals, and some nationals. I have heard his system a number of times. Good clean vocal box. Smooth and couples better than specs would make you believe. He has said they are his "poor mans KF650 choice." I do like them. They are not as loud as the QRX212 boxes I use, but they are slightly more hifi and less "in your face." Hope that helps...

I own four 153's that I run over four PX2181's and power with QSC powerlights ........all controleld by a DR260 - as mentioned above it is not really a rock box like the 2x12 but IMO sounds better. If you are doing all metal and hard rock, stear away from these but if you want a versitile box that sounds incredible with a full band using horns, keys and females singing, get a few of these. They have rotatable horns so I keep 2 with horns spun "OUT" for better coverage at fest with four boxes. Keep a good gap inbetween them too.......when mine are tight packed they end up comb filtering too much and do not sounds as good as when theya re spread out.
