X32 and Cubase (what am I doing wrong)

Hello Guys,

Last week I received my X32. First I tried to record something with reaper. With some help I finally got some recording. But this week I could get an official version of Cubase SE 3 for €25,- ($30,-). So I dicided tot buy it.

Today I got it and installed it. That was nog a problem. I made 16 mono-tracks end its doing nothing. I can only choose out of 4 inputs. Here are some pictures of my settings till now. What do I need to do?

Make sure you have created the software i/o.

Press F4 for VST Connections, and add in more input busses with routing from the x32 asio

I figured out how to make new busses. I can remove en create them now. But there is a problem. I can only make four input and output busses. Even when the sheet is empty and I try to make multiple busses (32) at once, only 4 come to the screen. I can't get my head around it. Please help.

I read something about a limitation of 8 channels. Is this version useless for multitrack recording of a liveshow??

Cubase SE 3 only has 4 busses.
