Every now and then a thread pops up about naming ones company. I think Strong Bad covered it best in one of his emails about how to name a band.
"It helps if you have a really cool last name, like Dokken, Van Halen, or to a lesser extent, Z-nuff."

I do avoid a local freight company named Celestial Shipping for two reasons. Avoid Alliteration. Always. (I guess for writing but not promotion.)
And I am afraid of where a company named that might lose my freight. It can be hard enough to track on terra firma.

But one game I play in my head is applying other slogans to imaginary sound companies.
And the slogan on the cat food as I feed them this morning is too good to pass up.
As you all remember I have a slogan that will propel me into the near future, so I am passing this on to you all.

"Equal parts Love and Science"

Enjoy, and you're on your own legally.

Mountain & Molehill Productions: We make mountains of sound out of molehills of talent.

I'll suggest to consider what you put on the side of your truck.

I have some magnetic vinyl company logos that I put on the doors of my truck when I'm somewhere that it actually might matter. As it happens to be, my USDOT # and "Not for hire" stickers are below my door logos. I've more than one promoter type come up to me after shows expressing they wished they could hire me, but understood that my company is "not for hire". Heck of a company slogan if you ask me: "Not for hire."

Themonuclear Sound Services
"Lemmy said we were ALMOST enough"

and my personal guarantee
"I won't guarantee it will sound good but do guarantee that if it doesn't, at least ONE person in the room is trying to make it better"

My slogan is:

Live Music Lives in Toronto*

*not the name of my town, but you get the idea. Not real catchy, but not too bad.
