I have been following these (thinking about the producer).

The X32 Compact should be in stores by the end of June to the beginning of July (shipping 6 weeks earlier according to this video). The Producer will be "4-6 weeks later" (End of July to middle of August). The other models (core and rack) will fit between these times.
X32 Compact - $2500.00
X32 Producer - $2000.00
X32 Rack - $1500.00
X32 Core - $1000.00

Thanks for you interest in the new X32 models.

I have included additional info about the new X32 models below.

The new models should be looked at as full X32 consoles as they share the same DSP and firmware. The main differences are related to control surface and I/O implementation. As the X32 is part of an audio ecosystem all models can utilize the S16 stageboxes for added I/O as needed.

X32 Compact
General Description: basically a smaller desktop console similar to the full X32 layout, (see I/O below).
Differences compared to the full X32:
- 8 less input faders compared to the full X32
- The physical Bus Send Encoders have been removed from the channel strip
- Smaller Assign Section, (8 buttons, no Assign encoders, one layer)
- See I/O differences below

X32 Compact: I/O:
16 MIDAS Designed Preamps
8 XLR Outputs
6 1/4" TRS Auxiliary ins and outs, (Auxiliary 5/6 also have RCA)
2 - AES50 ports (48 in x48 out)
1 - AES/EBU
1 - ULTRANET port, (16 ch - for P16 personal monitor system)
32x32 Firewire/USB card included
2 - 1/4" TRS Monitor Outputs
1 - XLR Talkback Mic in
MIDI in and out
1 - XLR Lamp in
USB port (for 2 track recorder/playback, preset save/load, and Firmware updates)
$2,499 US MAP


X32 Producer
General Description: more compact, and therefore rack-mountable, 5" TFT screen.
Differences compared to the full X32:
- No Mute Groups buttons, but you can still use Mute Groups via XControl, as well as you can assign any Mute Group button to any of the 8 Assignable buttons on the console. You can also control access the Mute groups by pressing the MUTE GRP button by the screen and using the rotary encoders
- Scene management can still be done on the Producer, by pressing the added dedicated Scene button near the screen, you can use the rotary encoders beneath the screen for scene management, (this is also true on the X32 Rack).
- The physical Bus Send Encoders have been removed from the channel strip
- No AES/EBU (2 Channel digital out)
- No LCD Scribble Strips

X32 Producer I/O:
16 MIDAS Designed Preamps
8 XLR outputs
6 1/4" TRS Auxiliary ins and outs (Auxiliary 5/6 also have RCA)
2 - AES50 ports (48 in x48 out)

- 5" screen with six encoders
- Headphone jack on front with level control
- No "User Assign" section

X32 Rack I/O:

8 XLR outputs

Dear Scott and Brian,

I will check on the number of rack spaces and dimensions on the X32 Producer.

All aspects of the X32 Producer Mix Engine are the same as the X32, so you have 8 Stereo FX.

Did you find an answer? I'm going to get a Producer when they come out but I need to buy a rack now and want to make sure it will work .....

I would be interested in the reply as well ;)

As an aside, I am hoping that Behringer ended up putting the scribble strips on the Producer ;)
