No, Neil isn't involved with sales, he isn't a principal at Beach, and he wasn't even on site. He handled the technical logistics, like how much gear would be needed, where to get the cross rentals, designing the systems, trucking, etc. The sales person left the company but stayed on the gig presumably working direct. I was still called to tune it, but I wasn't prepared to go around Beach without knowing the story so I passed. The story I was given by the inside man was the company that did it out west was doing the entire tour. You are saying that's not true, so I asked what the real story was. That simple. I have no dog in the race. I'm just curious.

Digging for something that is not there? The story is that this company is new to this type of bidding process and does not necessarily have relationships in every part of the country. Neil over at Beach Audio supplied us with year one. He is an excellent provider and he will get opportunities in the future to work on our shows.

The inside man was my PM who used to work for another big company here.. I followed him for production services when he moved to Beach as we had a great relationship and he was always able to jump thru the hoops for us. Vdosc or d&b really didn't matter to me as they are both excellent choices for these shows.
