We have a Hartke Bass rig in our meager backline inventory and the amplifier has developed a problem. The local repair guy, who is really good, says that parts for this unit are no longer available. Is the factory closed? Does anyone know of a shop capable of repairing these things?

I meant to post this while I was at the shop, but I had to leave unexpectedly to put out a fire and I don't the model of the thing, except it has a sort-of graphic EQ with neat little LEDs on the fader knob. I can get the model of the thing in the morning, if it will help.

Thanx,
Geri O

Hartke have used that graphic/LED feature on a lot of their amps in at least the last 15ish years, possibly longer, so unfortunately that alone won't narrow it down much. That does also mean it could be old enough that particular components are no longer available.
The Hartke brand still exists, no idea about a dedicated factory. They're now owned by the Samson group, so they may not be supporting some of the older, pre-Samson products.

Sorry that's not any more useful,
David.

There's nothing special in any Hartke amp I've seen. Parts or a substitute are usually available. Reply with the model and suspect part number(s) and I'll see what I can do.
